Virtual Performance by Sabby Sousa

Heaven is a state of mind, one which rising pop-star Sabby Sousa recreates for us through her lush and dreamy performance of “Cloud Boy”. Released in 2017, before the singer hit international success with the viral “Cream n’ Frosting”, the single has been re-worked and given a new life.

“A huge inspiration for “Cloud Boy” for me was spirituality,” Sabby said. “I was reminded of the angels coming down from the clouds above to give a blessing to Mary, and I felt like this boy represented that for me — a Cloud Boy.”

Directed by Mark Guido, the performance features Sabby’s airy, dreamlike vocals backed by a soothing harp, played by Emily Hopkins. Sitting on a swing within a purple room dictated by pastel hues, the scene is indeed divine.

You can stream the 2017 version of “Cloud Boy” here, and listen to Sabby’s latest single, a re-worked cover of Miley Cyrus’s “See You Again,” on streaming services now.
